Traditional photos are designed to look beautiful decades later and truly never go out of style. They're classic, striking, elegant, and often considered "formal." 

Editorial style photos are inspired by magazine covers, movie posters, and fashion. These photos tell a story through their use of dimension, scale, posing, light, and color. There are many smaller styles and trends within editorial style photography – for that reason, they are the most difficult to categorize!

The modern photojournalism movement traces its roots to the early days of the camera: the heyday of newspaper and television, coupled with bulky cameras and slower shutter speeds, meant that photographers were required to take photos of the world exactly how it appeared to them. Today, many "candid" and "documentary" style photos aim to capture the storytelling of that era, capturing moments, events, and people in real-time.
